Native to East Asia, particularly China, Japan, and Korea, it has become naturalized in various regions around the world. Commonly referred to as “knotweed,” this plant is recognized for its vigorous growth, distinctive knot-like clusters of flowers, and invasive nature.

Breviscapine is one of the extracts of several flavonoids of Erigeron breviscapus. Scutellarin is the main active component of breviscapine, and the qualitative or quantitative criteria as well.
